I teach both oral and total      communication hearing impaired children. I have received training in cochlear      implant therapy and am currently serving CI students.

     Why I Love To Teach : I love to teach because I love kids. I love the age      group I work with, 12-14 year olds, they are so full of life and they have their      own ideas about things. I love to see them learn things because they have      such a struggle and when the light bulb does come on and they understand, it      is amazing! These students' also teach me many things about myself - they      keep me humble and young!!

Why I Love To Teach : Every day is new! No 2 days are alike. I love creating an environment where my students feel successful! I live for those "AH-HA!" moments when a difficult or new concept "clicks" with my kids. I feel these are "my kids." Its great to bump into a former student and have them excited to tell the successes in their lives! I feel I have the only job in education where the job description is based on moving children Out of my program, therefore doing-away with my own job. Now, wouldn't that be wonderful!
