Kindergarten Registration Information

Kindergarten registration will be held at all elementary schools on April 2, 2009 from 1:00-5:00 p.m.

In accordance with state regulations, children entering kindergarten must be five (5) years old on or before September 30, 2009.

Parents or the legal guardian should bring your upcoming kindergartener and the following required documentation with you on April 2:

  1. Official Birth Certificate (Parents needing help securing a birth certificate may contact the Public Health Department
  2. Child’s Social Security Card
  3. Updated Immunization Record
  4. Physical Exam Form
  5. Two proofs of home address (utility bill, etc.)

Parents of children entering Putnam County Schools should become familiar with the school system’s “Priority Enrollment Policy” designed to provide guidelines for which schools children have priority to attend.
